Scatterbrain Magazine is a publication that aims to highlight all that Montréal and New York’s local scenes have to offer. Between interviews and guides based in the cities, we create photoshoots, poems, stories, games, and events that lead you deep inside our world.
Founded by Nia Blankson and Jeanne Bransbourg, two New York City natives that moved to Montréal for university, our now 42-person team is spread across both cities and further, bringing you a print magazine for the community by the ones experiencing and living in it. Inspired by German youth art magazines from the 1980s, we are reminiscent of the colorful and scattered aesthetics that shaped those years. The physicality of print — being able to hold something tangible in your hands — is something our generation yearns for that we hope to provide.
