When did you start sewing?
I started sewing in 2020 as a pandemic hobby. I decided to start collecting vintage sewing patterns and learn from them, and since then I have learned to alter patterns to change their size and add or eliminate elements in order to create what I want to make.

Where do you draw your inspiration?
I draw all of my inspiration from fashion from the 60s and 70s in fabric, patterns, and structure. I specialize in vintage reproduction clothing and thrift most of my fabrics and sewing materials unless a client has a specific fabric request.

I can see you have records and music posters all over your room. What are your favorite albums and songs at the moment?
Firstly, Baby Magic by Sofia Mills- A coming-of-age pop album with incredible lyrics about queer crushes, struggles with mental health, and neglectful lovers. Perfect in a playlist with Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, and Olivia Rodrigo. My favorite song from it is the title song, Baby Magic. Next is In That Room by Ocie Elliott- Contemporary folk mastery from the Victoria BC duo Ocie Elliott, listen when going on a forest walk and when you’re out in nature. My favorite song would be Forest Floor. Then Freckle Season by Orla Gartland- A cute, poppy EP with a singer-songwriter vibe with songs about break-ups, self-loathing, and pining. Favorite song would have to be New Friends! Last but not least is Leftovers by Le Ren. Le Ren’s country-folk album echoes female singer-songwriters of the 70s, perfect to read and study by. My favorite song is Your Cup.
