Hi! I’m Evelyn and I’m an artist + writer! I currently live in Montreal and I love giving advice, fashion, making art, and shopping. I hate when people are rude for no reason and also when toilets clog. I believe in radical acceptance, the power of a cigarette, and gatekeeping for a good reason. I am a notes app warrior, a habitual early riser, and like to think that one day I’ll write a book. Until I begin my book, I write essays and short stories and long-form snippets of thoughts that float around my brain. I love writing for an audience and I hope that you enjoy my performance. xoxo

I’m Kyra and I’m a Montreal-based writer and artist. Community inspires me, as does exploring the city's dynamic streets and thriving underground arts scene. I’ll be writing the monthly column Night Rat: Underground in MTL, exploring nightlife, raves, concerts, events, and DIY spaces, bringing you stories from deep inside the dark corners of the party. Investigating subcultures, time and futurity, and queer-structured space, I want to discover how we can build community in new and revolutionary ways. Follow along as I uncover answers to my burning questions: Why do we venture into the night? What are we seeking when we go out? Are we sharing something more, when we share space on the dancefloor? “We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race.” I have been writing ever since I learned to. Through all formats I’ve tried my hand at, I’ve always come back to poetry. So many pieces sit unread in notebooks I’ve lost, in old Google docs, on loose leaf in sharpie... this is where I share them. Where I ask my questions, where I talk of rain and rail trails and my best friend and my mom. Where I can both scream and give thanks, hug and tear, run and die. This is where I am arrogant; this is where I repent.
